Guwahati: Guwahati police on Monday took custody of one Instagram influencer named Nadeem and brought him to Guwahati from Rajasthan for making offensive comments against Hindus in a live Instagram chat.
According to reports, the accused was arrested by Naya Shahar police in Bikaner on Friday.

Accused Nadeem, who made communally insulting statements in a live Instagram chat, is in our custody now, with @PoliceRajasthan assistance
He is being brought to Guwahati, to be prosecuted in All Women PS Case no. 25/2022.''
Reportedly, the action was taken based on a complaint filed by a local resident from the Pareek Chowk area, Rishi Kumar regarding the audio clip that went viral on social media platforms.
Taking the cognizance of the matter, the police had filed a case under sections 295 (A) and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
Notably, on April 6, the Guwahati police had informed that it had taken the cognizance of the viral audio clip of an Instagram influencer and her friend where they were calling for identifying, raping, and killing Hindus.
Last Wednesday, the audio clip of Instagram influencer Sabnam and her friend Nadeem went viral on social media platforms, wherein, they were heard abusing Hindus and passing vicious comments.
''While slaughtering a cow in our area, a Hindu came and said whatever is being done is wrong, to which I replied go and call police and administration you do whatever you want to. We will f**k you,'' he was heard as saying in the video with Sabnam.
He further fiercely abused Hindus, their mother, and sisters in the audio.
Following this, a Twitter user named Vinayak Dev Trivedi tagged Guwahati Police and apprised them of the matter. The user claimed that one of the persons involved is from Guwahati and the other one is from Bikaner in Rajasthan.

In reply to Trivedi's tweet, Guwahati police tweeted, ''Thank you for the information. The matter has already been taken up.''
